How to Read the Bible Better

Here are three simple but great suggestions from Gordon Fee about how to read the Bible better.

Thanks to Todd Bolen of the blog Reading Isaiah as Christian Scripture who brought this to the attention of Charles Savelle of the BibleX blog who brought it to my attention.

  1. John says:

    Hi, I am from Australia.
The first step in understanding the Bible is in the understanding of how and why it was fabricated.
The why, was to consolidate the worldly power of the church fathers who put what became the “official” Bible together.

This reference gives a completely different understanding of the origins and political purposes of the Bible.
Plus the associated website and essays give a Spiritual Understanding of the Spirit-Breathing Spiritual Way of Life taught & demonstrated by Jesus while he was alive.

    • Mike Gantt says:

John, you are way off base. The Scriptures were not “fabricated.” They were written by people moved by the Holy Spirit to speak for God. Church politics is something that came later.

You can never understand Jesus rightly if you reject the Bible.
