If There Were a Trinity, Jesus Would Be the First Person of It

There is no trinity, but if there were, Jesus would be the first person of it.  That’s because the Bible says He is to have “first place in everything” (Colossians 1:18), that all things are to be “summed up in Him” (Ephesians 1:10), and that “the fullness of Deity” is in Him (Colossians 2:9).  How could anyone holding such an exalted position be conceptualized as “the second person of the Trinity”…or “the second person of” anything, for that matter?

Therefore, if the trinity were true, Jesus would have to be the first person of it, not the second.  But it’s not true.  Jesus is Lord, and He is the one and only God.
