Pinchas Lapide on the Miracle of the Resurrection – Apologetics 315

Pinchas Lapide (1922-1997) was a Jewish theologian and Israeli historian.  He accepted the resurrection of Jesus Christ as historical fact.  (Nevertheless, he did not call upon Christ as Lord.)

Here’s a quote from his book, The Resurrection of Jesus: A Jewish Perspective (courtesy of Apologetics 315):

“If the defeated and depressed group of disciples overnight could change into a victorious movement of faith, based only on autosuggestion or self-deception—without a fundamental faith experience—then this would be a much greater miracle than the resurrection itself.”
