Quote: Billy Graham on Today’s Society Which Seeks Not to Offend Anyone

He goes on to say:

“Yet the farther we get from God, the more the world spirals out of control.”

  1. People throughout the world rather put kind words in their mouth (not in others’), yet at the same time believe others being worse than they are. Why is that? They are apparently kind because they want to be acknowledged, respected, or even loved by others. But God who knows the very hearts of us is the only One who can change the rotten roots in our souls, so that we can be sincerely kind from a purified heart.

On the one hand, I think it is good to not offend anyone because of his or her sinful lifestyle (who am I to do so?), but on the other hand, regarding (biblical) truth, there should be no compromising of truth God has revealed to us. However, the most important, the first thing to do should always be unconditional love toward everyone.

Moreover, I don’t think that God is easily offended by man’s behavior. God is God, and man is man. God’s patience is beyond our imagination. We must not think that any of our sins would cause God to become restless. He is always the same, He is in perfect control, He didn’t make any mistake in letting this world be as it is; God alone knows where He will lead us, and how and when He will free us: from sin, from deception, from insecurities, from anger and pain, from doubts and from fear.

Let’s trust Him more than before.
