Father Barron says that meetings have their place, but… (and he’s right!)

Father Barron actually makes a very effective point about meetings vis-a-vis action in this video.  This point can be applied equally well to prayer vis-a-vis action, for what is prayer if not a meeting between man and God?  However, in order not to be distracted from this point you will have to ignore the offense of hearing Vatican II called “the greatest meeting of all time.”

Vatican II-The Greatest Meeting of All Time: A Commentary by Fr. Barron – YouTube (9:02).

Another good point in the video:  At 7:40 Father Barron asks, “What’s the church’s basic work?”  He then answers, “As John Paul and now Benedict have told us over and over again, it’s evangelization:  announcing Jesus Christ as Lord…with confidence and with clarity.  That’s the church’s job.”  Of course, I am thinking not of the Roman  Catholic Church but rather of the one true church.
