Here are four minutes of sober and hope-filled meditation on the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ…and the resurrection He believed – deeply believed – would come to Him (Hebrews 5:7).
The earliest disciples (that is, Peter, James, John, and the rest of the twelve) only knew the despair of Friday. They had no expectation of joy on Sunday. We who live after them, however, can always have an abiding and vibrant hope in the midst of our deepest despair.
Oh, how we can thank God for the witness of the apostles! If it were not for their testimony, we would not know the hope that Jesus died and rose to give us.

(By the way, Justin ascribes the meditation to S.M. Lockridge, while the Igniter Media version attributes it to John L. Jefferson. I do not know how to sort that out.)
