Now We Know How Lot Felt in Sodom and Gomorrah

If you’re a baker, you can refuse to cater a gay wedding for any reason you please — you’re too busy, you’re taking a few days off, you’re hung over — but if you say the words, “I don’t approve of gay marriage,” you’ll not only be vilified, you’ll be bankrupted.

Consider what Peter wrote about Lot:

…[God] rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds)  –  2 Peter 2:7-8

Sad to say, we can relate.  There is something palpably oppressing about living in the midst of a hedonistic culture – especially one that simultaneously congratulates itself on its superiority to all prior culture.
