The tenth undercover video from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) has been released. It does not include any gruesome pictures but simply shows various Planned Parenthood executives discussing how they avoid being caught for breaking this law:
(a) Purchase of tissue
It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly acquire, receive, or otherwise transfer any human fetal tissue for valuable consideration.
42 U. S. Code 289G-2
Rather than linking directly to the video, I’m linking to Matt Walsh’s commentary on it (which includes a link to the video). Although Matt writes long posts, I’m linking to it because he gives 1) an outline and analysis of the video, and 2) his view of the reaction of the country so far to the first nine videos. Because he’s giving an accurate and comprehensive description of both, you’re getting twice as much content for the same time investment.
Any one of these ten videos should have been enough evidence to launch an FBI investigation. Yet all we have is an anticipated Congressional showdown with the Republicans voting to de-fund Planned Parenthood (PP) and the Democrats voting to continue the funding. CMP’s charge that PP is breaking the law has been lost in one more round of the same politicians making the same arguments for and against abortion. Apparently, if one is “pro-choice” it’s okay for PP to break the law.
I think Matt’s assessment of the country’s reaction to the videos (what could perhaps be better described as a non-reaction) and what it means for the country’s prospects is valid. In other words, I think discouragement about America is the appropriate view. Fortunately, prospects for the kingdom of God are as good as ever. Therefore, let us seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Otherwise, we could be pulled into the same spiritual darkness that is increasingly suffocating the lives of so many of our countrymen. The nation is inviting judgment on itself, and wise souls will look for cover.
