The First Lady of the United States on the Importance of Children’s Well-Being

I heard that Michelle Obama received rave reviews for her speech at the Democratic National Convention last night.  I searched the internet for a text of her speech and read it.  These sentences stood out most to me – all of them about the importance we adults should attach to the well-being of children.

…[T]his election, and every election, is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives.

…[T]he President is about one thing and one thing only -– it’s about leaving something better for our kids. That’s how we’ve always moved this country forward –- by all of us coming together on behalf of our children…

…I want a leader who is worthy of that truth, a leader who is worthy of my girls’ promise and all our kids’ promise, a leader who will be guided every day by the love and hope and impossibly big dreams that we all have for our children.

Does this mean she has changed her mind about favoring legalized abortion?

If not, how do we know which children she thinks deserve the sort of consideration she’s talking about versus which ones deserve to be killed before they even get a chance to breathe on their own?
